Drepung Loseling Monastery is honored to announce the upcoming visit of H.E. Gaden Tripa Rizong Rinpoche, who will be coming to Drepung Loseling and staying with us from October 6 to November 10, 2013. Rinpoche has visited us several times in the past, and this will be the second time he is visiting since assuming the position of Gaden Tripa, the holder of the throne of Je Tsongkhapa, and supreme head of the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. |

Given that it is very rare to receive a visit by a teacher of Rinpoche's stature, most of the events we have requested are empowerments, as you will see in the schedule. These empowerments require a basic degree of understanding and familiarity with Tibetan Buddhist practices. Please check to see whether you have sufficient background to benefit from these empowerments. |
